Tokyo Midtown Logo Design Challenge

Post_feat-tokyomidtownTokyo Midtown (東京ミッドタウン ) is a 569,000 square meter (6.1 million sq ft) mixed-use development inMinato, Tokyo, Japan. Completed in March 2007, the project includes office, residential, commercial, hotel, and leisure space, as well as the tallest building in Tokyo and the new quarters of the Suntory Museum of Art.

Designers were challenged to create a logo that projected the multi-faceted aspect of the district, could be used on signs, banners, plaques and printed material. Fellow designers and I took the opportunity to stretch our creativity and created many interesting designs with a range of concepts. The board of directors didn’t choose this logo, but we had a great time broadening our vision.
