Event programs and guides pose special challenges that are all their own. Lists of advertisers and competitors must be collected and organized, schedules and maps charted or illustrated, and there are lots of chefs in a kitchen when it comes to event planning. It’s our job to keep everyone on track and ensure that all the material that needs to make it into the program actually does. DAC was responsible for cover design, interior layout and editing, some copywriting, and about 90% of the advertising designs in the book.
These books are important keepsakes for competitors and their families. There are scoresheets for them to record the day’s performances, photos, and messages from staff, coaches, families, and musicians. It’s crucial that the final printed product is worthy of this honor.
